Woman hit by truck, killed while walking on Dallas North Tollway

DALLAS - A woman was killed while walking along the Dallas North Tollway in far North Dallas Wednesday night.

The woman was hit by a pickup truck near Trinity Mills Road south of the Bush Turnpike around 10 p.m. It’s not yet clear why she was walking along the busy road.

Police said the driver stayed at the scene and is not expected to face any charges.

The investigation shut down the northbound lanes of the tollway for several hours.
