Woman hit by truck after falling onto 635

DALLAS - A woman died when she fell from a freeway overpass in Dallas and was hit by a truck.

Police said the woman was walking across the Skillman Street overpass in northeast Dallas just after midnight Thursday.

She reportedly stumbled on the sidewalk and fell over the railing onto the LBJ Freeway.

Witnesses said the woman was still alive after the fall but was soon hit by a truck.

Police are still looking for the driver, who did not stop.

The highway was closed for several hours for an investigation.
