Woman found dead in Pleasant Grove alley identified

DALLAS - Police released more information on the woman who was found dead in an alley in southeast Dallas nearly two weeks ago.

The body of Cathy Herrera was found on Dec. 30 near Bruton Road and Masters Drive in Pleasant Grove.

Police said she was murdered. They did not say how or go into any further detail.

She was last seen the night before at the nearby Bruton Beer and Wine store. At the time she was wearing a blue jacket, black pants and red shoes.

Police are still investigating the case and want to know if anyone saw her after she left the store.

Crime Stoppers is also offering up to a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case. Anyone with tips should call214-373-TIPS.
