One killed in deadly crash on President George Bush Turnpike
DALLAS COUNTY, Texas - One person is dead after a sweeper truck crashed on President George Bush Turnpike on Thursday.
What we know:
Around 12:10 p.m., troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a single-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of President George Bush Turnpike near Plaza 8.
DPS says an Isuzu Sweeper Truck blew a tire, causing the vehicle to crash into a concrete barrier and turn over on its side.
The driver, 46-year-old Tharnell Duncan of Dallas, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The westbound lanes of the turnpike were closed for hours.
What we don't know:
Investigators are working to learn more about the crash.
