VIDEO: ‘Corn'ado spins through North Texas field

An unusual sight was caught on camera in the city of Fate, in Rockwall County.

The city posted the video on its Facebook page. It shows a “corn"ado in a field near Interstate 30 Wednesday afternoon.

FOX 4 Meteorologist Evan Andrews said dust devils are common when you have very hot weather, a lot of sunshine and then light winds.

Some areas heat up more than others and you get rising motion, basically a low pressure over that one area. It starts spinning, moving and picking up dust, he said.

In this case, the dust devil was filled with corn husks.
