Unidentified body found in Dallas creek
DALLAS - Dallas police are investigating the death of a person who was found in a creek along Five Mile Parkway Tuesday morning.
Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said someone called 911 around 11:30 a.m. The caller said he or she was looking for the source of a foul odor and suspected there was a body in the water just under a bridge.
Firefighters confirmed that was indeed a body in the 2200 block of Five Mile Parkway. DFR’s Urban Search and Rescue team was called in to recover it because of the difficult terrain.
No details about the person’s gender or age were immediately available.
A medical examiner will determine an identity and cause of death.
