Truck plows through Balch Springs bakery

A truck plowed into a Balch Springs business and went completely inside the building.

The Wednesday incident at Romo’s Pasteleria Y Panaderia was all caught on camera.

Police say the driver somehow lost control and drove through the bakery store.

Jesus Romo, the owner, was behind the counter at the time and rushed over to try to get a customer out of the way.

“The most important thing is nothing happened to us,” Romo said. “We can continue fighting and work.”

The driver left the scene, but a passenger stayed behind to talk to police.

No major injuries were reported.

Romo says a couple years ago a vehicle plowed into another side of the building.
