Teen shot dead outside White Settlement home
Police are searching for who shot and killed a Fort Worth ISD teenager.
Xavier Olesko, 18, was found shot in the chest outside a home in White Settlement on Monday about 10 p.m. Olesko had lived with his adoptive parents, but had recently moved in with a friend and his father at the house where the shooting happened Monday night.
Hunter Farrell says five friends were in his backyard and he thinks Olesko may have gotten a text that called him to the front of the house. Then they heard a shot and found Olesko in the driveway.
"Just one shot, two live rounds hadn't been shot and one that was shot,” Farrell said. “When I came out here I was thinking, cause he just recently bought a gun, thinking he was playing with it but had a misfire, but we never found the gun."
Fort Worth ISD says Olesko was a student at Western Hills High School in Fort Worth where he played football. Before that he attended Brewer High School. Farrell said Olesko was finishing up school and was about to go to work with him at a job in Fort Worth.
White Settlement police say they are looking for one or more suspects. The death has been ruled a homicide.
