Sunday's rain causes flooding in north Texas

Flooding in Copeville

Two families have been moved from their homes in the Josephine area of Collin County because of rising water, according to a Collin County sheriff's department dispatcher.

They have been taken to the First Baptist Church in Josephine, which is in the far eastern edge of the county, south of Farmersville.

There are also some high water problems around the town of Lavon, according to the dispatcher. Lavon is east of Lake Lavon.

In Rockwall County, there are issues with high water on FM 548, near Crenshaw. There is also high water on Highway 66 near FM 1777 and on the north and south service roads to I-30 between mile markers 75 and 76. So far, nobody has been evacuated, according to dispatchers.
