St. Patrick's Day parade in Dallas


Crowds gathered early Saturday morning for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the Lower Greenville area of Dallas.

The parade is set for 11:00 a.m. The parade route starts on Greenville Boulevard at Blackwell Street and ends at SMU Boulevard at Central Expressway.  

There are more than 100 parade entries and more than 125,000 people are expected to attend.

The event is put on by the Greenville Avenue Area Business Association and the presenting sponsor is the Dallas Mavericks organization.

Event proceeds benefit the Greenville Avenue Area Business Association scholarship fund, which benefits Dallas ISD seniors.

Those in attendance are encouraged to ride DART due to parking limitations. Parade route recommended stations include Mockingbird Station, Lovers Lane Station and Park Lane Stations.
