Seagoville officer saves family from burning home

SEAGOVILLE - A Seagoville police officer saved a family from their burning home early Saturday morning. .

Crews on scene said the officer saw smoke and drove toward it around 1:30 a.m.

Police said the officer made his way inside and rescued five children and one adult.

Firefighters said the house is destroyed and the Red Cross is assisting the family.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
