Sadie's Sleigh helping bring Christmas to kids with cancer

A girl from Lantana, who once battled leukemia, is helping to bring Christmas to kids with cancer.

It's been nearly three years since now 10-year-old Sadie Keller was diagnosed with the disease.

She spent many days and nights at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

Her time there inspired her to start a foundation called Sadie's Sleigh.

With help from the community, Keller has collected thousands of toys.

"It's near Christmas time and then they have to be in the hospital forever and even being in the hospital on Christmas and it's just crazy and so I just really want to help them," said Keller, "it just makes me so happy to see those smiles on their faces because there's not much smiling going on when you have cancer."

The gifts collected by Keller's foundation will be distributed to kids at four area hospitals.
