A procession of honor was held Friday morning for a Dallas firefighter killed in a helicopter crash

The body of Dallas firefighter Brian McDaniel was driven from Dallas to Oklahoma for burial. McDaniel was killed late Sunday when the helicopter he was in crashed and flipped in New York City’s East River.

A funeral service was set to be held at the Church of Christ in Coleman, Okla., followed by burial.

Friends and family gathered on Thursday for the visitation for McDaniel in the White Rock area of Dallas.

McDaniel was one of five passengers killed in the chopper crash. His friend Trevor Cadigan, also from Dallas, died as well.
