The Arlington Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a vehicle that struck two pedestrians who were crossing the roadway early Saturday morning.

At around 2:12 a.m., APD responded to reports of a major crash investigation involving two pedestrians in the 2400 block of W. Division Street, near N. Bowen Road.

Investigators believe that a man and woman attempted to cross the street from the north to the south and were struck in the eastbound lanes of W. Division Street. Police say the pedestrians did not use a cross walk.

The vehicle that struck both pedestrians did not stop and left the scene.

Police have released the attached photos of a person and vehicle of interest who they want to talk to regarding this accident. They say he is not a suspect.

Both pedestrians were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The roadway was closed for approximately six hours while investigators gathered evidence and processed the scene.

At this point in the early stages of the investigation, detectives have little to go on as far as the type of vehicle that may have been involved. There should be damages to the front of the vehicle.
