Police: Man posed as firefighter to steal from hotel

FORT WORTH, Texas - Fort Worth police believe a man is posing as a firefighter to steal.

He showed up at the quality inn on Gemini Place earlier this week and said he needed to conduct an inspection. The workers said he seemed to be very knowledgeable of the fire system and control panels. He even reset some flashing lights.

The man then asked if he could go to another part of the hotel to test the fire alarms. He then said he had to go to his car to get more tools. But he never returned after getting into a blue car.

The hotel’s manager later discovered nearly $5,000 missing.
