One Dallas police officer was fired and another suspended on Wednesday by Chief David Brown.
Senior Corporal Marqueon Skinner was fired for an arrest in June on charges of soliciting a prostitute.
Police said Skinner, an 11-year veteran of the force, met a woman online and arranged to pay her for sex. Police were called after Skinner said the woman robbed him at gunpoint.
In a separate case, the chief suspended a sergeant for 30 days for violating vehicle policy.
Police said Sergeant Ramon Gonzalez bumped a vehicle during a pursuit to force it off the road. He also violated policy by not wearing a body microphone.
Both Sergeant Gonzalez and Sr. Cpl. Skinner can appeal the rulings.
