Off-duty officer stabbed by homeless man

Farmers Branch police are looking for a homeless man who stabbed an off-duty officer early Saturday  morning.

Police said it happened at an apartment complex in the 4000 block of Sigma Road around 2:30 a.m.

The suspect is believed to be homeless, and described as a black male, about 6-foot tall, with an athletic build and dreadlocks, according to police.

Farmers Branch police said the off-duty officer is in intensive care and stable.

Police said the suspect is armed and dangerous.
