North Texans reminded about water safety on swollen lakes

With full lakes and more rain on the way, there's a warning for people who will be going out on the water this Memorial Day weekend.

Lake levels in North Texas are the highest they've been in years.

Lake Grapevine is about 12 feet above normal. Parts of the parking lot near it and even some boat ramps are under water.

The roads around some other lakes are flooded and the ground is saturated and soft.

The United States Army Corps of Engineers just wants people to be careful around the swollen lakes.

Boaters and people on personal watercraft should also expect more debris and driftwood in the water.
