The subject of an Amber Alert is in safe condition after deputies and troopers found her with a man who led them on a vehicle chase that ended in San Jacinto County.

Before she was found safe on Tuesday, 13-year-old Priscilla Martinez was last seen on Aug. 13 in the south Texas town of Donna.

The chase began when a silver pickup truck struck a U.S. Marshal's Service vehicle on State Highway 242 near U.S. Highway 59. Several Montgomery County Sheriff's Office units pursued the truck, which reached speeds of more than 80 mph. Liberty County deputies along with both Cleveland and Cleveland Independent School District police assisted in the chase.

When the vehicle chase crossed into San Jacinto County, a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper tried to lay down spikes to stop the truck. The driver tried to swerve away from the spikes but lost control of the truck and crashed into a Texas DPS vehicle.

Law enforcement officers approached the truck and took the driver into custody.

Martinez was believed to be with 41-year-old Rudolfo Nuncio, according to the original Amber Alert.
