Man surrenders, no one hurt in standoff at Plano apartment
PLANO, Texas - Plano police convinced a man who was said to be suicidal to come out of his apartment.
A SWAT team and crisis negotiators were called to the scene at the Camden Legacy Creek Apartments on Ohio Drive Friday morning.
Police said the man made some threats and didn’t want to cooperate with the officers, so about 50 of his neighbors were asked to evacuate as a precaution.
A trail that runs behind the apartment complex was also closed.
The standoff ended around 3 p.m. Police said the man surrendered and no one was hurt.
