Man robbed, beaten outside south Dallas apartment
DALLAS - Two armed men got away after a robbery and shooting at an apartment complex in south Dallas.
It happened late Sunday night at a complex on Dixon Avenue near Scyene Road.
The victim said he was getting out of a car when a man approached him and shot him in his hand. A second suspect held a gun to his female friend’s neck.
He said he fell to the ground and tried to reach for something in the car to defend himself with, but was then beaten with a baseball bat. The men took his wallet and ran off.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
Police have only released a vague description of the suspects.
