Dallas Mavericks star Luka Dončić's home in Dallas was burglarized on Friday.

What We Know: Dallas Police say they responded to a burglary call at Dončić's home around 10:30 p.m.

Right now, investigators are only saying that unknown suspects entered the property and took items.

What We Don't Know: Police did not say what items were taken and have not shared any information about the potential suspects.

What They're Saying: "No one was home at the time and thankfully Luka and his family are safe," Dončić's business manager Lara Beth Seager said, according to reporter Marc Stein. "Luka has filed a police report and an investigation is ongoing."

Big Picture View: Dončić is just the latest high-profile athlete to be targeted by burglars.

Earlier this year, NFL and NBA officials issued warnings to players about organized crime rings targeting the homes of players.

In the NFL, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Joe Burrow are among those who have had their homes targeted.

In the NBA, Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley have also had run-ins with burglars.
