Laser light aimed at pilots near Dallas Love Field

The pilots of three planes landing at Dallas Love Field reported someone pointed a laser at them Wednesday night.

The pilots were in a private jet and planes from two different airlines. They each said the green light appeared to come from the same spot about 10 miles southeast of the airport.

A Dallas police helicopter also searched the area around 7:30 p.m., but found nothing.

“Our pilots are aggressively working to find the suspect. Lasers blind pilots. Please do not play with people’s lives!,” @DPDAir1 tweeted.

Federal investigators are now looking into the claims.

Pointing a laser and interfering with the operation of an aircraft is a felony crime that carries a maximum of 20 years in federal prison and a $25,000 fine.
