Judge won't lower bond for driver accused in Uptown rape
DALLAS - A $1 million bond stays for the man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Uptown Dallas.
Loai Faheem Laila was in court Thursday morning hoping for a bond reduction. The 34-year-old was arrested in Coppell last month.
A victim told Dallas police he picked her up on McKinney Avenue. She thought he was a driver for a ride she requested.
The woman claims Laila sexually assaulted her.
His trial is scheduled to begin in 9 months.
