I-30 in Royse City reopens after flooding

Receding water is allowing state troopers to re-open westbound Interstate 30 in Royse City, northeast of Dallas.

A FOX 4 viewer shared video of water on the highway near FM 36.

All the westbound lanes were shut down Sunday afternoon after heavy rain caused the road to flood.

It took several hours for the water to recede enough for troopers to open one lane of traffic.

The four inches of rain that hit the area did not affect eastbound lanes.
