Atmos Energy crews continued work in an oak cliff neighborhood where natural gas service was shut off on Tuesday for two schools.

The leak was detected in North Oak Cliff near Jefferson Boulevard.

Atmos says it cut service briefly on Tuesday at Hector Garcia Middle School and Trinity Basin Preparatory as a precaution. Students remained in class.

Crews continued maintenance work on Wednesday in the area.

Meanwhile, Atmos is still working to replace lines and restore service to the Northwest Dallas neighborhood where a gas explosion killed a 12-year-old girl.
