Garland police proved they’re a tenacious bunch when they chased two burglary suspects more than 30 miles overnight.

The chase started when a security guard called police saying he saw two people on live video stealing shingles from a construction business near the LBJ Freeway and Shiloh Road.

Garland officers chased the suspect’s car all the way to Arlington where it crashed at an apartment complex near Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.

Two people got out of the car and ran.

By that time officers from Arlington and Grand Prairie had joined in. The Department of Public Safety’s helicopter also helped with the search.

They caught and arrested a woman but one male suspect remains at large.
