FW hotel carport collapses on woman's car

A Houston woman says her SUV was damaged Sunday morning after parking it in a Fort Worth hotel entryway.

Tiffany Jackson says she pulled up under the carport so she could run inside the Fairfield Inn by Marriott on Northeast Loop 820.

Jackson says she was standing inside disputing some charges when all of a sudden she heard the collapse.

She says a family with young children had just walked out from under the carport when it happened.

Jackson says pieces of concrete, long nails and dry wall dented and scratched her black, 2008 GMC Denali.

Police were called, but no report was filed.

Jackson says on-site management got her a rental car, but offered no apology and did not discount her room or parking fees and eventually kicked her off property.

"The whole ceiling fell right on my 2008 Denali. There was no sympathy. There was no, 'Oh, I'm sorry.' There was no customer service. They still charged my car," said Jackson.

She says she's now made contact with corporate management and hopes to get the situation resolved.
