Fort Worth officer crashes while searching for suspect

A police officer was involved in a minor traffic accident Thursday while trying to catch a murder suspect.

It happened around noon at the intersection of West Seminary Drive and Hemphill Street in Fort Worth.

The officer was heading to the scene where other officers thought they spotted the suspect.

Police said the officer did not have his lights or sirens on and was not speeding, but hit a pickup when he tried to turn.

There were no reports of injuries.

Police are still looking for the suspect. Pedro Ramos is wanted for killing another man on Dec. 13.
