3-alarm fire destroys apartment building in Fort Worth

Fort Worth Fire Department crews responded to a 3-alarm fire that destroyed an apartment building Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters worked to put out the "wind driven" fire at an apartment in the 3700 block of Great Oak Road.

Windy conditions made efforts difficult on firefighters.

It's estimated 32 residents were displaced by the fire, and the Red Cross is on scene to help.

One firefighter suffered a minor wrist injury.

Fire crews are now investigating what caused the fire.
