Fire breaks out in hallway of Colleyville school

A Colleyville school was forced to evacuate Thursday afternoon after a fire broke out in one of its hallways.

ISD spokeswoman Heather Willden said the fire started in the second grade area of Bransford Elementary School in the 600 block of Glade Road.

The fire was big enough to activate overhead sprinklers in the hallway.

All students and teachers are being transported to Colleyville Middle School this afternoon where they will finish their school day.

Everyone was evacuated from the school safely and the fire has been distinguished.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
