Farmers Branch police rescue driver in submerged car

Police officers were able to save a driver whose car went into a pond in Farmers Branch Monday morning.

Farmers Branch police said for some reason a car left the roadway and ended up in the water in the 1800 block of Mercer Parkway just after 9 a.m.

The responding officers were able to pull the driver out of the car to safety. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
