Election Day Freebies: Free rides, discounted food & more
There are ways to get to the polls if you cannot drive yourself.
Dallas Area Rapid Transit is offering free rides to people who show a valid voter registration card between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. DART also offered rides for the presidential primaries.
Meanwhile, ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft are offering Election Day promotions.
Lyft is giving riders a 45% discount for those picking the 45th president. The discount is valid from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Uber is partnering with Google to remind people it is Election Day and using an in-app feature to help people navigate to their polling place. Those using the Uber app will also get a reminder to vote.
