Elderly couple killed in Farmersville house fire

FARMERSVILLE, Texas - Two people died in an overnight house fire in the Collin County town of Farmersville.

Firefighters from Farmersville and nearby Princeton started fighting the fire on Maple Street near N. Hamilton Street around 4 a.m.

They discovered two bodies inside the house after knocking down the flames. The victims are believed to a couple in their 80s who lived in the home.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
