Eight arrested in connection to death of Austin man

A lawyer representing one of the men charged with the homicide of an Austin man says his client will plead not guilty.

Authorities in Greece now have eight people in custody, charged with the homicide in the beating death of 22-year-old Bakari Henderson.

Meanwhile, the search continues for others who may have been involved.

Henderson's family says he was in Greece working on a photo shoot to launch a clothing line. Greek authorities say the 22-year-old was beaten early Friday at a bar.

The lawyer for one suspect says while his client may have caused some bodily harm, he "did not hit him over the head" or cause his death.

Officials have not released a motive for the attack.

Henderson was a graduate of Austin's Anderson High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Arizona in May.
