Authorities are searching for a burglar who got into a Northwest Dallas home and stole a gun and a laptop.
Dallas police say the incident happened Thursday night around 11 p.m.
Surveillance video caught the suspect when first walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. He then walked out of view of the camera. Police believe that was when he was able to get into the home through an unlocked back door or dog door.
Police say the suspect got away with a laptop computer and a Smith & Wesson handgun.
