DPD arrests suspected child predator

A suspected child predator police say has been targeting school age girls since May has been arrested.

Dallas police say 21-year-old Tyler Anthony Gale, who’s a sanitation worker who works for the City of Mesquite, confessed, and he was recently arrested in DeSoto for a similar crime.

Gale was arrested in DeSoto in October, accused of exposing himself to adults in a park.

Dallas police believe he is the same man who exposed himself to young girls in at least four instances in Dallas between May and December of this year.

Dallas police previously put out an alert about a man in a dark colored sedan who'd approached teen girls near Roosevelt High School and near Kimball High.

In some instances, the man stepped out of a car, wearing a shirt and no pants and chased the victims.

He's facing indecency with a child charges and an attempted kidnapping charge related to the first incident in May, when police say a 17-year-old girl on Hutchins Road fought off a man who tried to grab her.

Dallas police say they arrested Gale at his workplace. After his arrest, they say he admitted to exposing himself to additional girls in west Dallas in July.

The suspect's Facebook page indicates that Gale is from the DeSoto area. Prior to Gale’s DeSoto arrest and Dallas arrest, FOX 4 did not find a criminal record for Gale.

The City of Mesquite said it is aware of Gale’s arrest but can’t comment because it is a personnel matter.
