One charged after fleeing scene of deadly Dallas motorcycle crash
DALLAS - A man is in jail after a deadly crash with a motorcycle in Dallas.
What We Know: Police responded to the call for an accident at Irving Boulevard and Wycliff Avenue on Dec. 20 around 5:30 p.m.
Investigators say the victim was on a motorcycle traveling south on Irving Boulevard.
A suspect in a truck made a left turn onto Sylvan Avenue from Irving Boulevard and crashed into the motorcycle rider.
30-year-old Michael Frantom was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The suspect, 21-year-old Jonathan Salazar Garcia, was arrested and charged with collision involving death.
An arrest warrant affidavit for Salazar Garcia shows that a witness saw the crash and that the driver of the truck stop for a second and then drive away from the scene.
Witnesses say Salazar Garcia traveled about two miles before he was arrested.
Court records show that Salazar Garcia was in the country illegally.
He is being held at the Dallas County Jail.
