Dallas woman escapes mobile home fire

DALLAS - A woman escaped a mobile home fire early Friday morning in southeast Dallas.

Firefighters arrived to find intense flames and thick smoke at the home in the 2300 block of Chaporal Place around 3 a.m.

The woman was not hurt but several of her dogs suffered smoke inhalation. At least one dog did not survive.

The fire also spread to an empty mobile home next door.

The cause is still under investigation.
