Dallas officer arrested on suspicion of DWI

The Dallas Police Department arrested one of its own for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

Officer Natalie Garcia was booked into the Dallas County jail around 7 a.m. Friday. Few details about her arrest were immediately available and her mugshot has not yet been released.

Garcia has reportedly been with DPD since 2012 and is currently assigned to the Northwest Patrol Division. She is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

She is the fifth Dallas officer in trouble with the law this week. Arrest warrants were issued for four other officers who are part of a gambling investigation.
