A great-grandmother, who was conned out of nearly one-thousand dollars, got a surprise, Saturday. A Corvette club in Dallas was inspired to help Ola Donalson’s after seeing her story on Fox 4. They showed up at her house, with cash and prayers.

Dallas police are still searching for the woman, who showed up to Donaldson's home in medial scrubs, a week ago, claiming her doctor sent her to talk to Donalson about a new walker. Police say, the woman stole nearly one-thousand dollars in cash and money orders while she was there, money the 76-year-old needed to pay rent.

"This could be my mother. It could be my grandmother. Any of these guys' mom. And this is just something we just couldn't let go by without trying to do something," said Keith King of Unique Corvette Club of DFW.

"I cannot believe that people have come together for me like that. I cannot believe that people have come together for me like this,” said Mrs. Donalson.

It's a gift to Donaldson's children, too, who say their mother wanted to give up after the theft. "I'm literally speechless,” said her daughter, Donna.

Police are still investigating the scam and have not made any arrests.
