Credit card thieves stole $100k from Fort Worth employees

Fort Worth police are looking for credit card thieves who stole more than $100,000 from city employees.
Police said about 45 to 50 Fort Worth employees had their credit cards cloned.
Police released surveillance pictures of six people who investigators said used the stolen cards to buy everything from electronics to hoverboards and in one case, a leather couch.
From Fort Worth to Istanbul, Turkey, the cloned cards have been used in at least 500 transactions to purchase more than $100,000 worth of merchandise. In some cases the thieves would bring four or five cards to a store and try each one until one worked.
Police said the numbers may have been stolen at a restaurant and then sold to someone who made credit cards and gift cards with the stolen numbers.
Anyone with information about the identities of those in the surveillance footage is asked to call Fort Worth police at 817-392-4555.
