Dallas police are investigating one of their homicide detectives after charges were dropped against two capital murder suspects.
Anderson Jones and Christopher Miller are out of jail.
Both were accused of robbing and shooting Leonardo Ortega on June 14 at the Oak Cliff Subway where he worked.
A tipster identified the suspects as the hooded men who entered the store at closing time.
Police say Miller admitted he was involved and identified Jones as the shooter.
Police later found holes in Miller's story and released charges for both men.
Police say they are still following leads and reviewing whether the case detective followed proper procedure.
