Baby in hospital after being hit by car
A 4-month-old is in the hospital after being run over in a parking lot Wednesday in the Bishop Arts district of Dallas.
It happened at the Women's Specialty Center on Bishop Avenue around 3:30 p.m.
Police say the baby's mother was waiting for a ride and had the baby boy in a car seat. The mother then set the car seat down on the sidewalk.
Police say a friend who arrived to pick them up was pulling into the parking spot and accidentally hit the gas, driving up onto the sidewalk and hitting the car seat and infant.
Paramedics took the baby to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
