Two Fort Worth officers were hurt as they chased a man wanted for road rage.

The officer who was driving lost control around Interstate 20 and South Hulen Road in south Fort Worth around 3 p.m. Sunday. Their squad car hit a brick wall at the Wells Fargo Bank.

Other officers caught up with the road rage suspect and arrested him. He was accused of displaying a gun during the confrontation.

“I don’t know what exactly occurred that led up to this individual pulling a gun out, but obviously I cannot think of anything that would justify such an action,” said Officer Brad Perez with the Fort Worth Police Department.

The two injured officers were taken to the hospital for precautionary medical treatment. They are expected to be okay.
