2 dead in possible drug-related shooting

DALLAS - Two men were found shot and killed overnight and Dallas police are still searching for the suspects.

The fatal shooting happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mountain View Apartments on Monmouth Lane.

Police said neighbors called 911 to report gunfire. One witness also reported seeing an armed man flee on foot.

Responding officers found the apartment locked. They forced their way inside and found the bodies of two men believed to be in their 20s.

Investigators later found a stolen U-Haul parked in the parking lot near the shooting scene which they suspect contains drugs.

Police are now investigating the case as a possible drug-related offense.

They’re also trying to determine if a teenager who was brought to the hospital around the same time as the shooting is connected to the case.
