Malibu Poke is adding chicken to the menu. Owner Jon Alexis stopped by Good Day to show off the new chicken teriyaki bowl.
Malibu Chicken Teriyaki Bowl
1 ea 6oz chicken breast, grilled fully cooked
2oz shelled edamame, thawed
2oz jicama, peeled and diced
4 ea orange segments
2-4oz teriyaki sauce
1oz carrot, julienned
Cooked Sushi Rice, White Rice, Brown Rice, Cauliflower Pearls, Quinoa, your favorite mixed greens or your favorite grain
Prepare your chicken in your favorite cooking method (baked, grilled, roasted, seared) and fully cook. Let rest for 2 minutes or until cool enough to handle and dice into 1/2inch cubes.
Place chicken, edamame, jicama, and orate segments in a mixing bowl. Drizzle on a few ounces of your favorite teriyaki sauce and toss to coat. Add more sauce as desired! Set aside.
In your serving bowl place your grain or greens down. Spoon the teriyaki chicken over the top of the base and evenly distribute.
Garnish your bowl by scattering your julienne carrots, sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy!
