No major damage was reported Wednesday as severe storms passed through North Texas, but we are not in the clear just yet.

Several areas saw strong winds - some up to 70 mph - and hail. There were some reports of minor damage such as flooding and downed fences. Several places also experienced power outages.

There were two reports of tornadoes in East Texas near Mineola but have not been confirmed by the National Weather Service. No severe damage has been reported with those storms.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for a large portion of North Texas was canceled.

Overnight, most storms will weaken and become spottier.

Thursday, any showers should exit early (SE) and we'll see some sun break through with highs in the mid 70s.

Friday has changed. The disturbance we expected to bring clouds and a 2nd cold front is stronger. So, there may also be showers in the cooler air. Highs on Friday will only be in the low 60s.

Weekend still looks nice with temperatures in the upper 60s on Saturday and mid 70s on Sunday before warming up next week.
