Nothing cool, but there will be something wet!
We start October with a "Heat Sandwich" ...basically HOT, humid weather with some steamy rain in-between!
Today will see stronger SE breezes pick up Gulf moisture. Sun, a few PM clouds and highs near 90 most areas.
Low clouds and dew points near 70 degrees invade by Tuesday AM, along with a decently strong disturbance coming off the Gulf. Any heating (mid 80s) will quickly brew showers and a few storms with heavy downpours. Nothing severe, but fairly high coverage PM (60%).
That disturbance will head into western counties Wednesday. We'll keep 40% coverage from DFW (I-35W west) as we heat into the mid 80s again with very muggy air.
By late week (Thu-Fri) High pressure aloft takes over and heat s us back to near a humid 90 degrees. The Heat Index will be into the 90s those days as well.
For now next weekend looks like more of the same BUT a cold front could make it into areas from DFW north on Saturday with a few showers or storms. There is disagreement whether that front gets through the area or not, so there is the possibility that the Sunday forecast could change...stay tuned.
