Last Day of Storms!
One stormy day, then nice FALL weather is on the way!
Severe storms are possible this morning with tropical moisture in place and a strong cold front headed in. We could see scattered showers in the early morning before what may end up being the main push of storms in the late morning to the west and midday in the Metroplex (I-35).
These storms should at least get through the Metroplex and then break up as they head east with new storms this evening for the eastern areas (possibly Dallas and east). They will be capable of damaging winds and flooding. There is also a risk for a brief tornado and isolated severe hail.
As the cold front clears tonight, storms will exit east around midnight with cooler northwest breezes developing. Lows will be in the 50s!
Wednesday turns sunny and pleasant! Highs will be in the mid-70s. Dry air lingers Thursday with sun and some evening clouds. Highs will again be in the 70s. Then changes take place. Moisture from the Pacific storm Sergio will increase clouds Friday with spotty showers (20%) and highs in the low 70s.
As the remnants of Sergio get into west Texas Saturday, south winds will develop with increasing moisture. Some showers possible in the morning with possibly an evening storm or two. Highs will be near 80.
Sunday morning we may see some showers and storms followed by a very strong cold front midday. Falling temps from the 60s may drop into the 50s by the evening on very stiff north winds! We may start next week with very cool fall air! Lows will be in the 40s and highs barely into the 60s!!
